| Geological structure and forecast of hydrocarbon accumulation distribution in Achimov formation of Western Siberia | |
| The sedimentation conditions and development scale of the Achimov strata are analyzed. High prospects of their petroleum potential and the lack of search methodology for hydrocarbon accumulations confined to Achimov formation are shown. The current concept of sandstone sequences is described; and the model of sandstone depocenters accumulation of Achimov strata based on uneven thickening of the edge of the shallow shelf deposits is given. The forecast of hydrocarbon deposits distribution zones can increase the effectiveness of prospecting.
