We presented the results of detailed lithological and geochemical researches of the Voysk solid bitumen fild of the Timan-Pechora Province, localized in Lower Visean sandstones of deltaic genesis. We considered the bitumens to the class of asphaltites by their elemental and group composition. By the methods of gas chromatography and chromato-mass spectrometry we confirmed that the bitumens had undergone intensive bacterial degradation. We studied the isotopic composition of carbon of both the bitumens and their individual fractions.
