|Taphonomy of conodont elements in the environments of shallow-water Carbonate shelf – the Lower Carboniferous of the eastern part of Timan-Pechora basin as example|
|Taphonomical peculiarities of conodont elements in the shallow-water clayey-carbonate deposits are considered. All the lithological types demonstrate traces of hydrodynamic sorting of conodont elements, but diachronous reworking is absent. Significant abundance of the conodont elements providing reliable biostratigraphical interpretation is characteristic of mudstones, wackestones, and pack-wackestones; grainstone samples are barren as a rule.
Keywords: Lower Carboniferous, conodonts, taphonomy, Timan-Pechora basin.
