| The note is devoted to well-known Russian geologist, stratigrapher V.I. Krasnov marked 80-th anniversary in this year. Within the span of 50 years of labor activities Victor Ivanovich performed many-sided scientific-research and practical investigations, the significance of his works is difficult to overestimate as for geological science so for practice.
