The multi-stage history of geological development of the Pechora-Kozhva megaswell as inland paleorift zone was described from the beginning of the earth's crust stretching in the Early Paleozoic up to inversion in the Middle - Late Carboniferous - Triassic as a result of collision processes of Ural geosyncline. The main reserves of oil, gas and gas condensate, which are discovered and currently being developed within megaswell, are confined to the Middle Devonian - Frasnian oil and gas complexes. As a result of re-interpretation of CDP-2D, 3D seismic data, made in branch of VNIIGAZ, and taking into account all geological and geophysical data accumulated by exploration, the structural evolution of the southern part of the Pechora-Kozhva megaswell was refined; and series of paleotectonic and modern profiles were drawn.
