|Influence of abnormally high formation pressure on the Permian sequences preservation conditions of the Khapchagay mega-swell|
|The main fields of the Lena-Vilyuy Petroleum Province are within Khapchagay district. The massive nature of the Permian gas reservoirs, controlled by Khapchagay elevation used in the first appraisal of potential reserves of the giant trap, was based on the large linear size of the studied structure. The presence of an abnormally high formation pressure indicated the exceptional sealing quality of the Nedzheli Formation seal – like already made prediction.
The bedded form of sequences considered for exploration, was actively discussed. It significantly reduced the trap's reserves and contradicts the original chosen "massive" model. Along with the gas flows from Permian section during the well testing, the inflows of formation water was obtained.
The analysis of hydrogeological testing performed by the author indicates the presence of a high lateral pressure gradient. Distribution of formation pressure within Khapchagay structure characterized by a range of values comparable with the amplitude of the trap that shows its hydrodynamic openness. The key influence of the dynamics of the upper Permian hydrogeological system on the preservation conditions of gas deposits in Khapchagay district was established.
A conceptually new Geological model of the formation of gas reservoirs is proposed. It is concluded that Permian oil and gas system of Khapchagay structure objectively lost prevailed "massive" gas saturation character and position of the boundary "gas-water" in the new conditions is determined not only by the structural factors, but also by the dynamics of the related aquifer system. The probability of reservoirs detection Permian section remains within the flat areas of the southern slope of the structure. Additional migration gas flow towards the southern side is a favorable factor for the formation of new accumulations of hydrocarbons in the surrounding areas.

|Newest forecast and development updating of Vilyuiskaya syncline petroleum objects|
|The area of research is the one of the most studied on the Siberian platform. However, the predominant amount of geological and geophysical data had been obtained in the 60-70`s of the last century at a relatively low methodological and technological levels. Until recently, the main focus of research here were almost exclusively on the Mesozoic and Permian deposits, which form the upper part of the sedimentary mantle to a depth of 2-6 km. As a result, several gas-condensate fields were discovered, numerous oil manifestations were identified. The effectiveness of geological exploration of the past years is assessed; and the necessity to return to many of these studied areas again is substantiated taking into account new insights into their structure and using modern technologies of oil and gas exploration. In addition, for the first time the issue of the feasibility of Vilyuiskaya syncline sideparts’ additional studying was comprehensively considered, where the possible discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits, mainly oil, is expected.
