| Classification of enhanced oil recovery methods (economic approach) | |
| The existing methods of enhanced oil recovery are analyzed. A new classification attempt of enhanced oil recovery methods in terms of economic approaches (assessing the economic efficiency, inclusion in the tax base, method of increasing the value of a company) is provided. This classification divides methods of enhanced oil recovery in several groups. The first group is the methods carried out in wells completed by drilling, the cost of implementation of which relate to operating costs. The second group represents the methods, the cost of implementation of which are capital costs, including activity carried out in newly introduced wells or during reconstruction of wells. A brief description of the currently used methods of enhanced oil recovery is presented.
