pdf  Vychegda trough (Russian plate) - organic geochemistry and geothermal history of sedimentary fill
The geochemical features and catagenetic / geothermal history of sedimentary fill of the Vychegda trough are analyzed. The Vendian deposits were not oil-and-gas-generating. The source rock was identified in the Upper Riphean carbonate section in the east of trough; hydrocarbon generation processes had been performed during all phases of plunge.

pdf  Silurian pelitic layers in Kaliningrad region - a possible target for hydrocarbon prospecting
The oil source layers of the Silurian deposits in the Kaliningrad region, allocated due to geochemical data based on the distribution of dispersed organic matter, were studied. The catagenesis grade of these layers was examined using different methods. It was supposed that oil will be the main type of fluid during their possible development. The scope of generation and the residual potential of shale layers of the region were determined; perspective areas for research were outlined.

pdf  Resource potential of heavy oil fields in European Russia
In the "old" oil-producing regions in the European part of the Russian Federation, the main source of mineral resources renewal is heavy oils. The monitoring of the mineral resources for the period 2006-2011 revealed the disproportion between the content of heavy oil in reserves and its shares in production for regions of the Russian Federation. The positive trends in the development of heavy oil fields are marked; and the measures to accelerate the pace of its cost-effective development are formulated.

pdf  Resource potential of heavy oils of the Russian Federation: prospects of development
The resource potential of heavy oils of the Russian Federation (RF) is considered. The peculiarities of resource base of the RF petroleum provinces possessing by the considerable reserves of heavy oils are characterized. The basic problems connected with developing the resource base of heavy oils (introducing the specific technologies of production, processing and recovering valuable associated components) are analyzed. The prospective directions of using commodity products from heavy oils are shown. The peculiarities of determining the commercial importance, geological-economic and cost estimation of fields of heavy and high-viscous oils as complex raw materials and also tax privileges in developing are elucidated.
