Peculiarities of estimating the hydrocarbon fields on the Russian Arctic shelf and their reestimating in accordance with the new classification of reserves | |
On the Russian Arctic shelf eight fields discovered during 1983-1999 are in the undistributed fund. Their total gas reserves are 2.7 trillion m3 including 565 billion m3 of C1 cat. The reserves of these fields must be reestimated in accordance with the new classification categories; five fields, the most large of them, fall into the objects of the Federal level having strategic significance. Therefore it is necessary to determine the validity and reliability of initial estimation of these fields and also the possible results of their reestimation.
Key words: gas fields, categories of reserves, classification of reserves, undistributed fund, Arctic shelf, reestimation, methodical recommendations. |
