| Possibility of vertical seismic profiling in exploring oil pools in the Volga-Urals petroleum province | |
| The Bashkortostan Republic has accumulated a wide experience in successful applying the method of vertical seismic profiling in
solving the different geological questions with using the new technologies of dynamic analysis of wave seismic fields developed at the OAO “Bashneftegeophizika”. The high efficient, innovation, organizing-technologic form of interaction between oil-producing and geophysical enterprises – VSP – accompaniment of deep drilling - is introduced. The high possibilities of well seismic survey at the stage of developing already discovered hydrocarbon pools are shown. Some examples showing the key role of information received from well seismic survey for future exploration are given.
