| Evaluation of development-well success ratio and approving factor of local structures’ resources in Nenets Autonomous District | |
| The development-well success ratio is used for quantifying of hydrocarbon resources and planning for oil and gas exploration, which is determined as the ratio of the number of discovered fields to the total number of promising areas drilled in the region. The accuracy of estimates of success ratio depends on the past experience. However, in practice, the success ratio is assumed to be evaluated correctly that leads to fatal errors in calculations.
The new approach to the assessment of development-well success ratio and its applying for practical purposes, based on the "game theory" (part of the theory of probability) is offered.
