Perspectives of research activities digitalization in geological exploration | |
The fastest effect for the oil and gas industry can be obtained from improving the quality of scientific research at the stages of geological exploration through active digitization of the main business processes, as well as the rapid introduction of BIG DATA technologies, which will significantly affect the adoption of management and technical solutions. Often, large companies make huge and costly mistakes due to the lack of systematic analysis of big amounts of geological information. Analytics of BIG DATA can play an important role in improving the efficiency of work on unconventional shale sequences (Bazhenov, Domanik, Tyumen and other Formations). Digitalization of scientific research and efficient work with large volumes of geological information resources is already being implemented in JSC VNIGRI.
