Today hard-to-recover reserves of hydrocarbons are key to oil-and-gas industry. The topical approach of complicated reservoir, predicting is an integral interpretation of seismic survey and deep drilling data. The paper is aimed at the prediction of oil and gas occurrence in the Gerasimov oil-gas and condensate field located in the southeast of the Western Siberia petroleum province. The reservoirs are situated in the Middle and Upper Jurassic rocks and in the M productive unit of weathering crust corresponding to the contact zone between the Paleozoic and Mesozoic sections. M, Yu10, Yu9, Yu8, Yu7, аnd Yu6 productive units contain oil accumulations, while Yu2 and Yu1 productive units do gas and condensate. There are three tectonic activity stages in the exploration area, namely Early Jurassic, Early Cretaceous, and Late Cretaceous. The hydrocarbon traps are expected to be formed mainly in the Jurassic time, with they being confined by structural, lithological, and tectonic factors.
