| Geological model and petroleum perspectives of the southern part of the Chernyshov Ridge | |
| The results of the analysis of geological petroleum exploration in the southern part of the Chernyshеv ridge, Pre-Ural Foredeep are presented. In 2018-2019, 2D seismic surveys were carried out within the Sar'yugin subsurface area, its geological structure was clarified, and the resource potential was evaluated. The greatest hydrocarbon resources are predicted in the Carboniferous - Lower Permian carbonate section. High exploration risks are related with the widespread development of thrust tectonics and the complex structure of hydrocarbon traps.
