pdf Ydzhid Anticline Late Famennian (south of Pechora-Kozhva Uplift, Pechora Plate)
Study of a number of sections in the south-western part of the Lyzha-Kyrtayol Swell (south of the Pechora-Kozhva Uplift) allow elaborating conodont-based biostratigraphy scale and improving lithological description of the lower part of the Nyumylga level. This stratigraphic interval corresponds to the upper unit of the Kamenka Formation represented by shallow-water bitumen bearing carbonates. The study allows improving information on geology of Ydzhid Anticline and local stratigraphic chart of the Upper Devonian.

pdf Late Tournaisian shallow-water sequenses of the eastern part of Timan-Pechora Province (Kozhva River)
The shallow-water Upper Tournaisian sequences of the eastern part of Timan-Pechora petroleum Province were studied with biostratigraphical (based on foraminifers, conodonts, and brachiopods) and isotope stratigraphical methods. Poor conodont associations containing Siphonodella obsoleta Hass and S. cooperi Hass are characteristic of this stratigraphic interval in the shallow-water facies. Foraminifer associations are very variable: some of them are composed of numerous late Tournaisian species (Kozhva River section), but some associations comprise just species of wide stratigraphic range. The prominent global positive shift in the carbonate carbon isotope record marks the upper Tournaisian in the region. This shift is considered as reliable stratigraphical marker.

pdf Conodonts of the Devonian-Carboniferous boundary deposits of the Kozhim River key section (Subpolar Urals)
A new version of conodont biostratigraphy (based on compilation of new author’s and published materials) of Tournaisian part of the Kozhim River key section is given. The zones/subzones expansa, sulcata, Lower duplicata, Upper duplicata-sandbergi, quadruplicata and isosticha are characterized. The bases of all zonal subdivisions except for sulcata and duplicata Zones are shifted (compared to the latest versions of zonal biostratigraphy). The most reliably diagnosed zones (the base of the sulcata, duplicata, and quadruplicata Zones) are established in carbonate graded cycles (calciturbidites). The deposits of the terminal Famennian are very conditionally compared with the Lower and lower part of the Middle praesulcata Zones according to the position in the section. Absence of deposits of the upper part of the Middle and Upper praesulcata Zones suggests the presence of erosion on the D/C boundary interval. The presence of erosion on the D/C boundary interval doesn’t allow using the Kozhim River section as a key section of the stratigraphic boundary (in accordance with the tasks and rules of studying and describing the key stratigraphic sections developed by an interdepartmental stratigraphic committee). However, formally this section can be used as a key section of the structural-facial zone due to the fact that it is the most studied, and by the availability of outcrops, it exceeds all sections within the development of deep-shelf deposits of the Kozhim intra-shelf palaeodepression.

pdf Organic geochemistry of the Frasnian sections of the northern Chernyshev Ridge area (Timan-Pechora Basin)
For the first time, data are presented on the geochemistry of organic matter belonging to the Darshor stream section (northern part of the Chernyshev Ridge). Lithologically studied section is represented by siliceous-clay-carbonate rocks with interbedding of fine-grained dark gray to black bituminous limestone. The biostratigraphical data correspond to the upper part of the Sargayev - the lower reaches of the Domanik level of the Frasnian age. The distribution of saturated and aromatic hydrocarbon biomarkers, the isotopic composition of carbon kerogen, bitumoid and its fractions are characteristic for the organic matter of the Domanik Formation of the Timan-Pechora petroleum bearing basin.
The data of the conodonts color indexes as well as a number of geochemical parameters indicate the degree of the middle mesocatagenesis (“oil window”). The studied deposits have a significant generation potential characteristic for the Domanik rocks - Timan-Pechora petroleum basin at these stage of catagenesis.

pdf Tournaisian deep-water deposits of the Usa River basin (Polar Urals)
The article presents new data of detailed lithological and paleontological study, and results of stratigraphical investigations of the Tournaisian deep-water deposits of the Malaya Usa River section (Polar Urals). The section is biostratigraphically characterized by conodonts, foraminifers, fishes, and corals. The traces of the Mid-Tournaisian (Lower Alum Shale) Global Event are distinguished. The lithological marker (transgressive clayey beds), biostratigraphical data (FAD of Siphonodella crenulata conodonts), and isotope anomaly (negative shift of б13С) allowed to confidently recognize the Event. The new data fill the gap in the stratigraphical characteristics of the deposits of the base of the Carboniferous System of the Polar Urals and are important for detailing correlation of the tectonically complex sections within the Vorkuta oil and gas bearing complex of the eastern part of the Timan-Pechora Basin. In addition, there are quite rare taxa in the complex of conodonts, which justify the additional paleontological interest to the present work.

The article presents new data on the stratigraphy and formation conditions of the Famennian siliceous-clayey-carbonate section and about the origin and catagenesis of the belonging organic matter of the Chernyshev Ridge on the Iz’yayol River. The investigated rocks, according to the existing paleofacial reconstructions and new lithological and biostratigraphic (conodonts) data, were formed in the deep-water shelf environment of the western slope of the Kozhym intra-shelf palaeodepression in the crepida and marginifera phases. Hydrocarbons generation potential of the deposits is almost completely realized. The new data are important for understanding of the hydrocarbon generation processes, when realizing the potential of source rocks which had entered in the oil window.
