pdf  Energy analysis’ for the oil and gas enterprises - an example of JSC "Yakutsk fuel and energy company" (Russia)
Energy analysis is an important component of determining the economic efficiency of oil and gas producing companies. The article discusses the background energy analysis in the USSR and later in Russia and in Western countries. Particularly of the place of energy analysis in the reporting system of the enterprise is presented. The direction of improving corporate reporting to address the problem of determining the energy efficiency of energy production is marked. Proposes a set of energy efficiency indicators and their relationship with financial coefficients, given the method of calculation. Calculation of the proposed indicators on the example of fuel-energy company JSC "YATEC" (Russia) is given.

pdf  Idea of energy analysis. Background and urgency today
The idea of using energy analysis for the purpose of evaluation of company’s activities in the oil and gas industry is proposed. A brief historical reference is given, the prerequisites for formation of the idea of energy analysis in the Soviet Union and countries with market economies in the last century are provided. The urgency of the energy analysis is substantiated, some directions for using energy analysis tools are suggested. The basic definitions, formulas, calculations of energy efficiency of hydrocarbon production are given.

The article discusses the energy return on energy invested for tar sands and oil shale. A brief overview of methods of development of these sources of hydrocarbons and quantitative parameters of developmental projects are shown. A preliminary calculations of energy return on invested for production of hydrocarbons from tar sands and oil shale, and energy return on invested for production of light oil from the oil produced using such method are carried out.

At present, Russian oil companies are making great efforts in the field of optimum rational consumption of energy in fields, it led to increase of energy efficiency as a Russian oil and gas production as whole, and as individual companies in particular. According to these calculations, the energy efficiency of oil production in Russia varied for different producing companies, and in 2012 was in the range 20-35.

The allocation of a new category of energy profitable recoverable reserves is proposed, the principle of calculation of this category is considered. The position of energy profitable reserves in the current classification of reserves is shown.
