pdf Sedimentological model of the Cretaceous strata of the Yamal Peninsula on the basis of composite geological and geophysical investigations
Based on a comprehensive analysis of paleogeomorphological studies, core analysis, field geophysical data, the facies conditions of sedimentation of Cretaceous sequences were restored. Prospective zones (river mouths, swells, ridges) have been identified for setting up 3D seismic surveys in order to forecast intricate several hydrocarbon traps.

The issues of regional rifting of the West Siberian plate and the South Kara syneclise of the Kara Sea are considered. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of geological and geophysical data, structural-tectonic zoning of the sedimentary cover of the north of Western Siberia and the Kara Sea was carried out.

pdf Characteristic of the regional building model Yamal-Kara region on the basis of potential fields analysis
The analysis of the anomalies aggregate of the magnetic and gravitational fields of the Yamal-Kara region is carried out. A number of transformants of fields with different frequency characteristics were constructed, which made it possible to trace the superorder structures of the region and the probability of the distribution of graben-rift systems. Analysis of potential fields revealed two stress systems that formed the shape of the earth's crust in the northern part of Western Siberia.

On the basis of 3D seismic exploration and drilling data, the geological structure and conditions for the formation of “ПК” layers of the Marresalin Formation of the Kara Sea are recognised. Based on the results of the attribute and AVO analysis, an assessment of the petroleum potential of the Marresalin Formation is given.
