pdf Petroleum prospective areas in the Taragay Formation belonging to the Upper Permian - the southwestern part of the Viluy syneclise
An updated forecast of the petroleum bearing area of the Upper Permian sequences in the southwestern part of the Vilyuy syneclise, a promising area for hydrocarbon accumulations, is presented.
On the basis of new geological and geophysical studies on the southwestern side of the Vilyuy syneclise, petroleum promising objects in the pinch-out zone of the Upper Permian terrigenous section were substantiated, associated with non-structural traps in the Taragay Formation - lithological, stratigraphical associated with elements of tectonic screening.

pdf  Genesis conditions of the Riphean-Lower Cambrian sand and pelitic rocks in petroleum potential evaluation of Pred-Patom foredeep
Oil and gas potential of the Riphean-Lower Cambrian strata in the central and eastern parts of Pred-Patom foredeep was evaluated using analytical study of sedimentation environments, composition and reservoir properties of terrigenous rocks, minerals and sealing features of pelitic rocks. Dynamo-genetic diagram was constructed as a result of cumulative curves’ correlation. Preliminary information on the sedimentation conditions of terrigenous rocks was obtained. Marine and coastal facies are identified. Mineralogical study of pelitic rocks was conducted. Capacitance-filtration properties of terrigenous and pelitic rocks were evaluated.

pdf  Mineral resource base and prospects of oil and gas production centres development in the east of Russia
Hydrocarbon mineral resource base of Eastern Siberia and the Russian Far East is considered. The future prospects of four oil and gas centers that are under development now are described. These centers will be able to produce 72 million tons of oil and 90 billion m3 of gas in 2020 provided that exploration and projecting works are under way and industrial infrastructure has already been established in the area.
