Geological aspects of the current state and prospects for the development of underground gas storage in the Republic of Uzbekistan | |
A brief overview of the current state of underground gas storage facilities in the world is presented, and information about their main types is provided. The geological aspects of providing the Republic of Uzbekistan with underground gas storage facilities and reducing their number, as well as prospects for expanding the active volume through their modernization, are considered. It is concluded that the existing volumes of underground natural gas storage are insufficient for seasonal regulation of gas consumption. Based on previously performed geological and geophysical studies, facilities have been proposed for the creation of underground gas storage facilities in their volume. The general information about these objects, the history of their identification, the geological exploration carried out, the main parameters of the formations allocated for construction and the expected active storage volumes are given. The conclusion is made about the need for targeted additional geological and field studies to make decisions on the feasibility of building underground gas storage facilities, which will solve the issue of its uniform use in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Dynamics of the hydrocarbon resource base of the South-Western Gissar region (Republic of Uzbekistan) | |
The article briefly discusses the South-Western Gissar region from the position of petroleum potential, the results of geological exploration activity for oil and gas and the state of the hydrocarbon resource. The proven commercial oil and gas productivity is located in the Middle-Upper Jurassic carbonate strata. The article presents the dynamics of the resource of hydrocarbons in the region. The authors show that the decisive value in the estimation of the raw material base of hydrocarbons is the value of petroleum reserves of discovered fields. The history of the development of the South-Western Gissar region is conditionally divided into four periods. The results of exploration activity during each period, their influence on the change in the number of discovered fields, the dynamics of the raw material base of hydrocarbons, the share of each period in the total volumes of initial hydrocarbon reserves of industrial categories of the Republic of Uzbekistan are considered. It is concluded that the potential for increasing industrial hydrocarbon reserves is still quite high. Dynamics of reserves and production of hydrocarbons in the Ustyurt region | |
The article briefly outlines the results of exploration activity for oil and gas within the Ustyurt region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Information is presented on the history of discoveries and development of fields in the Ustyurt region for the entire period of geological exploration activity for oil and gas, information on annual production, growth of hydrocarbon reserves and cumulative production for the entire period of development. The authors divided the entire period of geological exploration into 3 stages, in each of which the initial reserves and cumulative production are distributed over stratigraphic sections. The article attempts to justify such a division based on the analysis and generalization of the state of the hydrocarbon resource base, the degree of its exploration and development. As a result of summarizing the initial geological and geophysical information on individual accumulations of hydrocarbon, the authors performed a brief analysis of exploration activity and made proposals on the prospects for further increasing their resource potential with subsequent development, requiring the involvement of modern methods in the process. It is concluded that in the Ustyurt region, in which in recent years, thanks to the initiatives of the heads of state, large-scale exploration activity has been launched, which allowed increasing hydrocarbon reserves almost annually, due to the discovery of new accumulations and exploration of previously identified sites, which was the basis for the development petroleum industry of the country. The article briefly discusses the history and results of petroleum exploration activity, the dynamics and current state of the hydrocarbon resource base economy in the Ustyurt region petroleum bearing area. It is concluded that with the reversal of intensive exploration activity in the Ustyurt region, the number of discovered accumulations is steadily growing and hydrocarbon reserves are significantly increasing. The proven commercial oil and gas activity is located in the stratigraphic range from Paleozoic to Upper Jurassic inclusive. The dynamics of the resource base economy of hydrocarbons is given, as well as information on the share of cumulative production in the structure of the initial total resources and its distribution by accumulations size. It is concluded that most of the initial total resources have not yet been developed and, accordingly, the potential for increasing industrial hydrocarbon reserves is at a high level. Development dynamics of the hydrocarbons resources base Bukhara-Khiva region | |
The article briefly examines the history of the origin of the petroleum industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the results of geological exploration for oil and gas and the state of the hydrocarbon resource base in the context of oil and gas bearing regions. The Bukhara-Khiva petroleum bearing area, to which the article is dedicated, is the main one in this republic not only in terms of hydrocarbon production, but also in terms of their growth. The proven commercial oil and gas productivity is located in the stratigraphic range from the Lower-Middle Jurassic to the Upper Cretaceous, inclusive. The article presents the dynamics evolution of the hydrocarbons resource base. The article provides information on the share of accumulated production in the structure of initial total resources and its distribution by the size of fields. It is concluded that almost half of the initial total resources have not yet been developed, and despite the significant coefficient of the exploration of the initial total resources, the potential for increasing industrial degree hydrocarbon reserves is still quite high.
