pdf Isotope stratigraphy of the Upper Visean substage of the Lower Carboniferous in the Vorkuta transverse uplift
A comprehensive biostratigraphic and isotope-stratigraphic characterization of the lower part of the Sartyu Formation (Upper Visean substage, Timan-Pechora petroleum province) has been conducted. Based on conodonts and foraminifera, calcareous algae the studied part of the succession has been correlated with the Tula and Aleksin levels. Three negative δ13Ccarb excursions (VN1–VN3) have been identified, and their correlation with the foraminiferal zones has been established. VN1 can be correlated with the middle part of the Tula level, VN2 approximately coincides with the base of the Aleksin level, and VN3 marks its upper part. These excursions, in combination with biostratigraphic data, can be used for both regional and global correlation.

pdf Calcareous algae of the Visean-Serpukhovian boundary beds in the Izyayu River section (south of the Chernyshev Uplift)
We consider changes in the composition of the algaflora in the Visean-Serpukhovian boundary interval in the Izyayu River section. A transgressive trend in changing sedimentation conditions - from extremely shallow water at the end of the Visean to moderately deep water at the end of the Early and early Late Serpukhovian - is observed for the section as a whole. This change in sedimentation conditions led to a consistent reduction in the abundance and diversity of calcareous algae. In general, the composition of the Late Visean-Early Serpukhovian algaflora in the Izyayu River section corresponds to warm shallow-water conditions.

pdf Stratigraphy of Lower Carboniferous "Kazanskoe pleso" section (Unya River, Northern Urals)
New data on the stratigraphy of Carboniferous section in the middle reaches of the Unya River (Northern Urals) are presented. Based on the study of foraminifera and calcareous algae, the Visean and Early Serpukhovian ages has been established. The paper gives a brief description of the section with the boundaries location and the indication of the characteristics of the selected stratigraphic units, paleontological phototables of the foraminifera and algae associations of the Pesterkovian, Tulian, Aleksinskian, Mikhailovian, Venevian and Kosogorskian levels are given.

The paper presents new data on the stratigraphy of the Eastern strip of Carboniferous section in the Unya river basin.
