pdf Genesis and petroleum potential of Devonian and Turnaisian carbonates of the south-eastern Pechora-Barents Sea area
Exploration of petroleum accumulations in the Paleozoic carbonate section of the Barents Sea shelf is an important task for the future development of the oil and gas industry in the Russian Western Arctic, despite the fact that they are located in very complex tectonic conditions, at greater depths, with a large number of difficult to calculate parameters. The resources and reserves of hydrocarbon accumulations in the Mesozoic strata, easier to prospect are currently the main prepared objects for the development of the Barents Sea shelf. Analysis of oil and gas fields in the Pechora Sea, the southeastern part of the Barents Sea, and the adjacent onshore area will considerably facilitate the task of searching for hydrocarbon accumulations in similar accumulations of the Barents Sea Arctic.

pdf  Vuktyl field (Pechora oil and gas basin) - autochthone Visean sandstones structure and its petroleum potential
The main facial composition characteristics of the terrigenous Visean complex of the Vuktyl autochthone structure, which contain sandy lens-shaped bodies, are analyzed; the petroleum potential prospects are presented. The article presents lithological, petrophysic and facial characteristics of the sandstones, the heterogeneity of which causes interpretation difficulties when comparing them with the geophysical data. The model of a barlike reservoir is presented.
