| Sequence stratigraphy of the Upper Paleozoic, Kolguev Island | |
| The developed and published lithological-genetic typification of Kolguev Island Upper Paleozoic deposits allowed generalizing the materials received by interval core recovery from a series of exploration wells. The basic regularities in localization of established lithotypes have been determined on the basis of constructing a series of lithological-genetic profiles. As a result six sequences - natural historical geological bodies - have been established. Their forming is associated with the large transgressive-regressive cycles of sedimentation. More complete idea of the peculiarities of structure of the Kolguev Island Upper Paleozoic is received.
