pdf Selected issues in the petrophysical study of volcanoclastic rocks of the pre-Jurassic strata West Siberian petroleum basin
This article examines current issues in the study of the pre-Jurassic volcanoclastic strata, using the example of a developing field located in the West Siberian petroleum basin. The focus is on methods for determining petrophysical parameters involved in assessing hydrocarbon resource potential and forecasting development. Methods for calculating the capacitive properties of volcanic rocks and substantiating reservoir boundary values using statistical criteria are proposed. Particular emphasis is placed on finding a solution to the problem of quantitatively assessing oil saturation in the absence of stable relationships between the nature of rock saturation and its electrical resistivity, due to the structural features of the void space.
