| Facies of Middle Jurassic strata of the Western Barsakelmes field (Ustyurt region, Republic of Uzbekistan) | |
| A lithofacies modeling of Jurassic strata of the Kuanysh-Koskaly swell in the Ustyurt region was performed based on detailed laboratory core analysis and well geophysical survey data from the Western Barsakelmes field. Using V.S. Muromtsev's electrometric facies modeling method, continental formation conditions for the productive strata of the Middle Jurassic time were established. High-capacity reservoirs formed in channel zones of alluvial facies belts, while mudstones formed in lacustrine-marsh zones, and are of a local nature.
