The article is devoted to the study of the problem of deep formation replenishment of petroleum reserves using the example of long-term developed fields of two petroleum provinces of Russia in the modern concepts of oil and gas formation and accumulation. Fundamental, published sources and other factual data on the fields of the North Caucasus and Volga-Ural regions of the Russian Federation were used. As a result of the comparative analysis, several analogies in the geological structure and nature of oil and gas potential of long-term developed fields of different regions were revealed.

pdf Complexly constructed oil and gas traps in Mesozoic-Cenozoic strata as a reserve for replenishing the hydrocarbon raw material base on the territory of the Chechen Republic
The article is devoted to the problem of searching for complexly constructed oil and gas traps on the territory of the Chechen Republic. The prospects for identifying complexly screened traps in the Lower Maikop, Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic strata are assessed. The characteristic complex features of Upper Cretaceous strata are described. The south-eastern part of the Chechen Republic, the edge zones of the Advanced Ranges and the Zaterechnaya Plain were identified as promising areas for identifying hydrocarbon accumulations associated with various types of complexly screened traps. The main tasks and recommendations for carrying out exploration activity to increase the resource base of hydrocarbons are listed.

The problem of the influence of fault tectonics on the nature of the location of oil and gas bearing structures in the sedimentary cover within the Terek-Caspian trough is considered. Brief information about the evolution of the concept of deep faults and fluid systems is given. Based on the analysis of the features of the deep structure and fault tectonics, fault crossing zones were identified as areas of the highest geodynamic activity and hydrocarbon concentration. The priority geological objects of prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbon accumulations have been determined.
