pdf The influence of the reservoir brines composition on epigenetic changes in the Upper Silurian-Lower Devonian carbonate rocks of the Gambutsev swell (Timan-Pechora petroleum province)
The results of a comprehensive interpretation of lithological and geochemical studies of core material and modeling of geochemical interaction processes in the formation water-rock system for Lower Paleozoic productive strata of the Gamburtsev swell Varandey-Adzva tectonic zone are presented. The effects of sodium chloride brines on carbonate, sulfate-carbonate rocks are discussed for the first time. The calculations of the degree of saturation of waters in relation to carbonate and sulfate minerals and their comparison with the epigenetic mineralization of rocks allowed us to identify the main processes contributing to the formation of neo-minerals in the Lower Paleozoic reservoir. As a result, new data were obtained that contribute to a more accurate prediction of the reservoir properties of rocks of the Lower Paleozoic carbonate strata in the north-east of the Timan-Pechora petroleum province.

pdf Carbonate rocks epigenetic changes and their connection with chemical composition water of Upper Ordovician-Lower Devonian petroleum bearing area of the Chernyshev Ridge and eastern side of the Khoreyver Depression
We presented results of a complex interpretation of core material and chemical composition of waters for Lower Paleozoic (O3-D1) section of the junction zone of the Khoreyver Depression and Chernyshev Ridge. We for the first time discussed influence of Cl-Na and Cl–Na–Ca brines on carbonate, carbonate-sulfate rocks and the processes of formation of new minerals in the O3-D1 reservoir of the petroleum bearing area. The calculations of degree of water saturation with respect to carbonate and sulfate minerals and their comparison with catagenetic mineralization allowed and show main reasons for the formation of mineral new structures. As a result, additional data were obtained that contributed to the prediction of the reservoir properties of the Lower Paleozoic carbonate section in the northeastern part of the Timan-Pechora petroleum province.
