pdf Modeling of diagenetic transformation of organic matter in modern sediments under oil-contamination conditions
The results of laboratory modeling of organic matter transformation in modern lacustrine sediments under oil-contamination conditions were analyzed. The total number of microorganisms, including hydrocarbon-oxidizing and denitrifying, has increased in oil-contaminated sediments. The various directions of changes in the basic parameters of organic matter were observed. Intensification of organic matter transformation under the influence of oil contamination has led to the increase in generation intensity and changes in composition of biochemical gases, which in turn may lead to ecological disbalance.
