pdf Secondary processes in Jurassic clastic reservoir rocks of the Verkhnesalym area of Western Siberia
Lithological studies of core sandstones and siltstones of the Lower-Middle Jurassic formations, penetrated by several wells within the Verkhesalym area, made it possible to identify the sequence of secondary processes in clastic rocks and evaluate their role in the formation of filtration-capacity properties. Stage-by-stage transformations of rocks were traced. Particular attention is paid to calcitization as the latest process that significantly affects the rocks porosity. The cyclical development of calcitization in the section was revealed, which, apparently, is explained by secondary superimposed processes - the redistribution of fluids in the rocks of the pre-Jurassic section.
