The article presents the results of an analysis of the geological structure and development history of the Lodmin-Bayandy carbonate platform in the Timan-Pechora petroleum province. Isolated carbonate platforms of the Domanik-Tournaisian petroleum intricate structure have increasingly attracted the attention of oil and gas companies in recent years due to the dwindling number of significant exploration targets within barrier reef massifs, which were previously considered the most promising. Modern exploration methods in zones with complex reservoir distributions demonstrate higher drilling success rates when used in an integrated approach to studying the geological model of the reservoir. A reconstruction of Famennian sedimentation conditions was performed based on a detailed study of the lithological composition of productive Zadonsk-Yelets strata and the identification of carbonate rock lithotypes associated with the J. Wilson facies type belts. Analysis of production rates established that Famennian reservoirs with the best reservoir properties belong to the facies zones of reef massifs and carbonate shoals at the platform margin.
