pdf Geological conditions and model of bitumoids formation in the Fresco area of the western sector of the Côte d'Ivoire basin
A model for the formation of bitumoids in the Fresco region (sedimentary basin of Côte d'Ivoire, Western Africa) and an assessment of the prospects for petroleum potential of the Upper Cretaceous-Cenozoic strata of the Fresco area based on geological and geochemical studies are presented. It is shown that in the Fresco region there are no thermobaric conditions for the generation of hydrocarbons. It has been established that bitumoids were formed during the thermal destruction of organic matter to the west of the Fresco area, which has a significant thickness of the sedimentary cover. Bitumoids arose as a result of desorption, primary migration and accumulation of hydrocarbons in the Fresco region.

pdf Lithofacial features and formation conditions of the Cenozoic section of the Gran-Lau region - petroleum basin of Cоte-d'Ivoire
The results of the lithofacies analysis of the Cenozoic section of the Cote d'Ivoire petroleum basin, based on the petrographic mineralogical analysis and particles size analysis, are outlined. According to the granulometry data, several histogram were plotted indicating the distribution of sediment grain sizes by fractions, cumulative curves, and a dynamo-genetic diagram of Rozhkov; it made possible to investigate the sedimentation conditions in the Cenozoic time. The descriptions of clastic rocks thin sections, which give valuable information about the composition and history of their formation, were also carried out in this study. As a result of the conducted study, it was established that the Fresco Formations within the Grand-Lau region was developed during the Cenozoic time in various facial conditions of the coastal-marine environment, from the shallow-water bay to littoral conditions.

pdf  Neogene foraminifers of the Bering shelf, Anadyr oil-gas basin offshore
The Anadyr oil-gas basin located within the limits of the Anadyr-Navarin oil-gas region. In its onshore part, three oil and gas fields are discovered and commercial hydrocarbon inflows are received at two structures. The well Central 1, drilled in its offshore part, is the first well in the Russian sector of the Bering Sea. New biostratigraphic data, received in processing core material, add the present view of micropaleontological characteristic and biostratigraphy of Anadyr basin Cenozoic deposits. Nine beds with benthic foraminifers are recognized in the Neogene deposits penetrated by the well.

pdf  Сomplex justification of marine stratigraphical scales; forming the laptev sea cenozoic sequence as an example
The attempt of creating the complex stratigraphical base of a sedimentary cover is shown on an example of forming the Cenozoic sequence of the Laptev Sea. Due to the absence of marine drilling sequences, its major components are the marker levels of seismic profiles dated in accordance with the absolute geochronology scale; lithostratigraphical complexes established on seismic data and results of studying the Cenozoic formations of the onshore and adjoining offshore areas; biostratigraphic scale created on the materials of key sequences and including spore-pollen complexes and microfaunistical zones proposed in the Laptev shelf sequence. Chronologically dated markers LSI-3 and three event-biostratigraphical levels are the key correlative levels

pdf  Applied aspects of micropaleontology on the example of producing sediments foraminifera study, Upper Paleogene and Neogene, western Kamchatka
Reconstruction of paleo-facies environments based on the studying of foraminiferal complexes distribution in the sequence has revealed the cycles and regularity of facies change in the Upper Paleogene and Neogene sediments of West Kamchatka. A number of biofacies typical for the sediments studied have been developed. The distribution of Foraminifers in different parts of transgressive-regressive cycles and trends of faunal complexes changes have been analyzed. Two large cycles of community development that correspond to Kavransky and Verkhnevoyampolsky lithologic cycles of sedimentation are distinguished.
