| Informational digital geological and cartographical resource on oil and gas content in the Volga-Ural region | |
| The cartographic data prepared at the A.P. Karpinsky All-Russian Geological Research Institute as part of the digital "Map of distribution patterns and forecasts of oil and gas resources in the Russian Federation and its continental shelf, scale 1:2,500,000" include structural-tectonic and petroleum-geological zoning, the areal distribution of oil and gas structures in the region, a map of the initial total hydrocarbon resource densities, and detailed stratigraphic maps for eight oil and gas areas, indicating the main fields. This newly created dataset provides unique reference information on the state of the petroleum potential of the Volga-Ural region and the basis for geological mapping study in the region.
