| Methodological aspects of using facies analysis in identifying and mapping seal zones in terrigenous formations of Western Siberia | |
| When forecasting oil and gas potential in Western Siberia, priority has traditionally been given to identifying reservoir rock development zones in terrigenous formations. Currently, the need to identify effective seal zones and to develop detailed sedimentation models of seal formations is increasing. Methods for identifying seal zones based on wellbore geophysical data and predicting them using facies analysis are discussed.
