Director of St. Petersburg branch of All-Russian Research Geological Oil Institute (VNIGNI).
Area of scientific interests: lithology, sedimentation modeling, forecasting of non-structural hydrocarbon traps, petroleum reservoirs.
Excellence in Subsoil Exploration (1999), Honorary Subsoil Explorer (2004).
Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for the Oil and Gas departement.

pdf Sedimentation analysis of the Middle Jurassic strata of Western Siberia in order to construct an alternative geological model of hydrocarbon accumulations
For the Middle Jurassic strata, including of the Yu2 and Yu3 levels, characterized by abnormally high reservoir pressures, a sedimentological model is presented, the ranking of sedimentation conditions by sedimentation cycles with the separation of channel facies is performed. The latter, according to attribute analysis, are traced within the study area and are characterized by improved reservoir properties, abnormally high reservoir pressures and high productivity.

pdf Formation conditions and prospects for oil and gas potential of Mesozoic strata southwestern periphery of the Western Siberian petroleum basin
The results of activity on the geological study and assessment of the prospects for oil and gas potential in the southwestern regions of the Western Siberian petroleum province (Karabash zone) are considered. Directions for further study and development of oil-promising objects, primarily associated with structural-lithological traps in the Jurassic - Lower Cretaceous productive formations, are proposed.

Based on the results of the integration of sedimentological modeling data, retrospective materials and high-precision gravimetric survey, the prospects of the Cretaceous strata of the Iussk petroleum bearing region for the discovery of new hydrocarbon accumulations have been confirmed. Highlighted promising areas of possible development of zones of good porosity rocks - improved reservoirs.

pdf Facial-paleogeographic reconstructions of the Valanginian-Hauterivian strata belonging to the Lower Cretaceous Gydan Peninsula and the western part of the Yenisei-Khatanga regional foredeep
Paleogeographic reconstructions were carried out, sedimentation models were determined, and facies-paleogeographic maps were constructed for the Valanginian-Hauterivian clinoform structures of the Lower Cretaceous of the Gydan Peninsula and the western part of the Yenisei-Khatanga foredeep based on the facies interpretation of the core, well logging and using seismic data. Revealed sedimentation criteria for the development of reservoir rocks. The distribution of rocks with improved reservoir properties is confined to the zones of development of facies of river channel shoals, accumulative sandy bodies of the coastal-marine zone, delta channels, delta fans and turbidites.
