| Geological structure and development of the southern margin of the Pechora-Kozhva megaswell | |
| The multi-stage history of geological development of the Pechora-Kozhva megaswell as inland paleorift zone was described from the beginning of the earth's crust stretching in the Early Paleozoic up to inversion in the Middle - Late Carboniferous - Triassic as a result of collision processes of Ural geosyncline. The main reserves of oil, gas and gas condensate, which are discovered and currently being developed within megaswell, are confined to the Middle Devonian - Frasnian oil and gas complexes. As a result of re-interpretation of CDP-2D, 3D seismic data, made in branch of VNIIGAZ, and taking into account all geological and geophysical data accumulated by exploration, the structural evolution of the southern part of the Pechora-Kozhva megaswell was refined; and series of paleotectonic and modern profiles were drawn. | Adak area - main results of organic matter and hydrocarbon fluids’ study | |
| The results of organic matter and hydrocarbon fluids’ study, obtained through wells’ drilling at the Adak area in the central part of the Chernyshev swell (Timan-Pechora basin), are presented. The type and biocenotic composition of organic matter were studied; the distribution of organic matter across the sections of wells 1, 2-Adak and 1-Kharutamylk was studied; the degree of catagenetic maturity was identified. The oil-and-gas source potential of rocks was evaluated. The specifics of oil fluids composition and their properties were analyzed. The geochemical data have proved oil and gas potential of the Domanic-Tournasian and Middle Ordovician – Lower Devonian carbonaceous oil and gas bearing complexes in the central part of the Chernyshev swell.

| Oil and gas potential of the central part of the Chernyshev swell based on geological exploration data at the Adak area | |
| Unique geological data for the strong dislocations area in the central part of the Chernyshev swell have been obtained through geological exploration work carried out by OOO Gazprom
Pererabotka at the Adak licensed block. For the first time the subthrust formations of the Talbey block have been drilled. Oil-bearing capacity of the Middle Ordovician – Lower Devonian and
Domanic-Tournasian oil and gas bearing complexes has been proved (wells 2-Adak and 1-Kharutamylk). Oil and gas potential for the Adak and adjacent areas in the central part of the
Chernyshev swell have been proved by complex multi relational analysis.
