pdf Features of phenanthrenes distribution in aquagen organic matter Bazhenov Formation, Western Siberia
The features of the phenanthrene distribution in the Bazhenov Formation in the southeast of Western Siberia are considered. It has been shown that with increasing maturity of organic matter, the total content of phenanthrene in bitumens increases, and the concentrations of mono-, di- and trimethyl-substituted homologues among them increase. It has been established that the modified phenanthrene parameter (PP-1mod=(1MF+9MF)/(2MF+3MF)), phenanthrene index (PI=2MF/F), ratios 1,1,7, can be used as the main indicators of the maturity of organic matter. 8-tetramethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrophenanthrene/1,7,8-trimethylphenanthrene, 9MF/1MF, 9MF/F and 1MF/F, however, the influence of primary migration processes in transformed organic matter on them should be taken into account.

pdf Characterization of Bazhenov Formation productive interval: a case study of West-Kvenzer area, southeastern Western Siberia
The article discusses the concept of Bazhenov reservoir rocks exemplified by a oil productive interval of the Bazhenov Formation cross-section in the West-Kvenzer area, southeastern Western Siberia. Characteristics of the analyzed interval are derived from the interpretation of the results obtained by the geophysics, lithology, rock physics and organic geochemistry integrating methods. It has been shown that the studied oil saturated interval is represented by kerogen-siliceous and siliceous mixtites. The studied rocks are found to be identical in terms of the lithological composition, organic matter geochemistry, geophysical and petrophysical characteristics. Most of the mobile (allochthonous) bitumoids (chloroform extractable bitumens) generated by the Bazhenov Formation within the West-Kvenzer area are concentrated in open pore space, rather than being fracture-filling type.

pdf Lithological interpretation of well logging data belonging to Bazhenov Formation of the south-eastern regions of Western Siberia
The article presents the results of revealing the relationship between siliceous, clay, carbonate and organic substances and pyrite from the types of electrical and radioactive logging in Bazhenov Formation. The influence of the content of the listed rock-forming components on the geophysical characteristics is described. The volume lithological model of the Archin-47 well, constructed on the basis of established correlations, is presented.

Conceptual models are formulated and quantitative predictive functions of reservoir porosity, fluid saturation, effective thickness rate of the Bazhenov Formation and its geological and geochemical characteristics are obtained. These parameters were used to predict oil and gas potential and quantitative assessment of oil resources in the Bazhenov Formation in the southeastern regions of the Western Siberian Basin.

pdf  Geochemistry of organic matter and oil-generation potential of the Lower Jurassic Togur Formation (south-east of Western Siberia)
The paper presents the results of detailed geochemical studies of organic matter of the Lower Toarcian deposits accumulated in separate sedimentation basins - Verkhneketskiy, Ust-Tymsky, Bakcharsky, Nyurol’sky, Teguldetsky and Koltogorsky. It is shown that the organic matter has mixed origin with the predominant role of higher terrestrial vegetation, and the ratio between humic (terragene) and sapropel (aquagene) components vary depending on the borehole as well as on the area of sedimentary basins. On the basis of research results the Lower Toarcian deposits potential in the western studied regions the oil-generation potential of Togur Formation is higher; the eastern regions of the southern part of Western Siberia, in which organic matter is immature (Verhneketsky and Teguldetsky basins) are defined as unpromising in terms of oil and gas.
